Wait… I thought this show was called “Development Hell”?

Well… it was, actually. Sol has been commissioned by iHeartRadio to produce a pilot for a show with the same name, so Development Hell has re-branded to avoid any confusion. It’s the exact same show it always was, but now it’s called “How Didn’t This Get Made?”. Confusing, right? Yup, that’s just the way we like it.

Episode 1: “Hitherto Without Rama”
Conor and Sol explore Rendezvous with Rama, the long-gestating Arthur C. Clarke adaptation that was, at one point, set to star Morgan Freeman and be directed by David Fincher.

Episode 2: “Spidefer-Man”
People were trying to turn Spider-Man into a movie since the '80s. People like James Cameron and Arnold Schwarzenegger. Sol breaks down the many spi-deferred movie projects that have come, gone and, in some cases, may still happen.

Episode 3: “Spidefer-Man 2”
It turns out there have been so many spi-deferred and cancelled movie projects, they couldn't all fit into one episode. Sol picks up the mantle from last week, providing an account of Spider-Man movies that never happened, starting with the conclusion of the saga of Sam Raimi's Spider-Man 4 and followed by Sony's increasingly embarrassing attempts to compete with the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Episode 4: “Kaleidnohope”
Conor tells Sol about Kaleidoscope, which is, despite never getting made, arguably Alfred Hitchcock's most infamous film.

Episode 5: “Delay of the Dead”
Sol and Conor are taking on Never of the Dead - that is, attempts to create sequels to films from George A. Romero's seminal zombie franchise (Night of the Living Dead, Dawn of the Dead, Day of the Dead), that never came to fruition.

Episode 6: “Nope-oleon”
Conor teaches Sol about Stanley Kubrick's failed attempt to create what he claims would have been "the greatest film ever made": a Napoleon biopic starring Jack Nicholson.

Episode 7: “Yellow Couldhavebeen”
In the season one finale, Sol introduces Conor to Robert Zemeckis' aborted Yellow Submarine remake - truly a film that no one asked for.
